High ecological performance and carbon-negative
Our innovative recycling process converts MDF scraps into recovered materials that help build a sustainable future. This effective strategy eliminates the need to incinerate waste, contributes to the circular economy and consumes less energy than the production of conventional insulation. Lenoo insulation goes beyond carbon neutrality: it acts as a carbon sink. Across its entire life cycle, it captures 0.338 kg of CO2 equivalent per kilogram of insulation, making an active contribution to protecting the environment.
Revolutionary defibration technique
Our exclusive technique is a bio-sourced, circular and local insulation solution that reflects our vision of a more environmentally friendly future. A corresponding patent application was filed in June 2023.
Our team of experts has developed an original defibration process for the production of high-quality wood fibres for insulation.

Turning leftovers into opportunities
In Belgium, where nearly four million tons of wood waste are produced each year, we have converted this challenge into a sustainability opportunity.
- The incineration of one ton of MDF panel waste generates significant emissions: 750 kg of CO2 and 210 kg of NOx. By preventing MDF panel waste from being incinerated, Lenoo is thus playing an active role in protecting the environment.
- Our wood fibre insulation is a product of virtuous upcycling: MDF, which takes a lot of energy to manufacture, is recycled into a bio-sourced insulation product.
- Lenoo insulation boasts exceptional environmental performance, with a reduction in grey energy of up to 50% compared to other insulation materials on the market. Producing one ton of Lenoo insulation saves the equivalent of 3800 KWh of fossil energy (ADPF Ru f).
